The Isle of Skye has sea-cliff and mountain climbing in abundance. The spread of venues, grades and rock types mean that there is something for climbers of all abilities. From Neist Point to the Cuillin ridge, all the climbing areas of Skye have different characters and every route will leave a lasting memory. Routes vary from 10 metres long to several hundred metres, so you can have a taster session, spend a few days learning new skills or allow us to guide you along the classic routes.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
If you are used to physical exercise and are seeking a challenge, then the introductory climbing course is for you. If you are looking to learn, then choose one of our climbing skills courses. Guided climbing is also available for those who prefer this as an option. Our guides are all fully qualified, highly experienced and know Skye very well. You need to bring warm clothes and waterproofs, plus a lunch if you have booked an all-day session. We provide all climbing equipment; helmets, harnesses, climbing shoes, ropes, hardware. Your guide will also be carrying safety gear such as group shelter, first aid kit, phone.
If you want to learn to lead, translate your skills from indoors to outdoors, or try rock climbing for the first time then we will teach you amongst the best scenery possible!
Half-day Taster Session:
A half-day rock climbing, where we will take you to the best venue for your needs and simply climb as much as possible! This is often combined with a half-day coasteering session for a fabulous day of adventures.
