WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Scrambling is the middle ground between hill walking and rock climbing. You will be using your hands, feet and even knees to make progress. You'll also be required to use ropes and make decisions as to the best route to take - all of which means, you'll have lot more to think about! Ideally you will have hill walking experience and be looking for more of a challenge. Providing you with the technical gear you require and using our best know-how, we will furnish you up with the all skills you need to get the most out of your scrambling activities.
Take your pick from the best of Skye's scrambles, such as the Dubh Ridge, the round of Coire na Creiche, Pinnacle ridge, Collies route onto the Cioch and lots more. It is also ideal for those thinking of doing the full ridge traverse as it will introduce you to the challenges of the Cuillin.
This is a training course that will enable you to tackle Scotland's harder mountains with more knowledge and skill. As above, you'll be able to enjoy the best scrambles that Skye has to offer while, at the same time, learning the movement, route-finding and safety skills you'll need to avoid paying for a guide in the future! We will make use of the huge variety of scrambles on Skye to pick suitable routes for you to learn on.
