Skye has some fantastic remote wilderness locations which are truly magical to experience, from remote glens and lochs to epic mountain top camps. We pride ourselves on having only the best kit to offer you a little bit of a luxury when you’re facing the elements. We can enjoy a roaring fire , cook up a storm and gaze at the stars. This is a real chance to get away from it all and enjoy the best of Skye.
Example camping trip - Rubha Huinish
At the most Northern tip of Skye is the peninsula of Rubha Huinish. An old coastguard hut-turned-bothy stands on imposing cliffs, overlooking a secluded bay and surrounded by sea cliffs - quite simply the best place for spotting wildlife and sea birds on the island.
Rubha Huinish is the arena for a micro adventure of epic proportions. Jump ‘whooping’ from the cliffs into the sea, and explore caves, inlets and rock-pools on an unforgettable coasteering journey. Climbing here ranges from small, friendly slabs to towering sea stacks. Lie on the heather by the warmth of a campfire, as the stars above merge with the distant lights of the Outer Hebrides; content with a unique and beautiful experience.
